In general, the Embassy requests all people who are registered in the waiting list for an AuPair visa or for a voluntary service visa or an internship visa once a month to sent their documents. Afterwards an appointment is allocated around 2-3 weeks later.
Current maximum waiting time should be 2 months.
Processing takes normally a month.
No, the Au Pair visa is the only visa category where language requirements are directly tested by the Embassy. During the interview a posted person will ask you questions in German to test your German language level. Your German level should be at least A1.
In general, no. Those visa categories are not intended to provide entry in to Germany to stay there afterwards. Please note that the Germany Embassy has to check on your perspective to return during the application.
